The first set of stills have arrived for Matt Cloude’s ambitious new film NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: GENESIS, which aims to pay homage to George A. Romero’s timeless classic while expanding upon its storyline to explore more of the night when the dead began to rise.
In some sort of weird twist that I’m still trying to figure out, Judith O’Dea will reprise her role as the one and only Barbara from the original film. Wait, didn’t she get devoured at the end of that movie? I guess it could work if this is a quasi-reboot of sorts because it wasn't even like some open-ended death either; she was literally pulled into a mosh pit of man-eating zombies and eaten alive—that's how I remember it at least. Regardless, I'm interested to see what they've done with her character in this one and if she'll have a different fate from what we saw in the original.
Directed by Cloude, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: GENESIS also stars Sarah Snyder, Mike Lord, David Witt, Donna Gee Rousseau, Cyrus Samson, Christy Johnson, David Crawford, Jessica Dole, Jim Krut, Mike Christopher, David Early, Zombie #1 Bill Hinzman’s daughter Heidi Hinzman, John Migliore, and Wade Brown.
