The Academy Awards are the biggest night of the year in the entertainment industry, and if it’s an honor just to be nominated, then it must be just as big an honor to get to read off the names of all the nominees! The first batch of Oscar presenters has been announced, and the line-up of incredibly talented people includes Tiffany Haddish, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Greta Gerwig and more.
Haddish rocketed to fame last year for her hysterical work in GIRL’S TRIP, which surprised everyone with a $115 million domestic haul. Meanwhile, stars Holland and Boseman are enjoying their status as Marvel heavyweights, with the former’s SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING being the biggest comic book movie of 2017 (at the global box office), while the latter’s BLACK PANTHER is kicking off what will be a record-breaking box office run.
As well, some Oscar nominees of the evening will also be presenters, with stars Gerwig (LADY BIRD), Kumail Nanjiani (THE BIG SICK) and Margot Robbie (I, TONYA) part of the line-up. As per tradition, last year’s acting winners will also present, including Emma Stone (Best Actress for LA LA LAND), Mahershala Ali (Best Supporting Actor for MOONLIGHT) and Viola Davis (Best Supporting Actress for FENCES). Casey Affleck, who won Best Actor for MANCHESTER BY THE SEA, announced a while ago he would not attend the ceremony to present the award for Best Actress.
Rounding out the rest of the announced presenters are Laura Dern, Jennifer Garner, and Daniela Vega, who stars in the Best Foreign Language Film nominee, A FANTASTIC WOMAN. Oscar producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd put out a statement saying, "Whether returning to the Oscars stage, or gracing it for the first time, each of these artists bring their own distinguishing and energetic appeal. Their contributions will make for an unforgettable evening.”
Catch all these talented, beautiful people at the Oscars on March 4!
