DOGTOOTH director Yorgos Lanthimos' new movie THE LOBSTER is set to premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival, and Indiewire has the first posters for the intriguing sounding flick.
Starring Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, Léa Seydoux and John C. Reilly, THE LOBSTER has been described as a dystopian love story, and will follow "a desperate man who breaks with the rules of The City where single people are arrested and obliged to find a matching mate in 45 days at The Hotel. If they fail, they are transformed into an animal of their choosing and released into The Woods." Lanthimos and his DOGTOOH co-writer Efthymis Filippou penned the script, which won the the ARTE International Prize for Best CineMart 2013 Project at the 42nd Rotterdam International Film Festival.
The posters aren't flashy, but I dig them, and I'm very interested in checking out the first trailer for Yorgos Lanthimos' new movie. What animal would you want to be transformed into if you couldn't find a mate?
THE LOBSTER currently doesn't have a release date, but will likely open sometime this year.
