Sounds exciting, doesn't it? I can already smell the drool some of you have released upon your keyboards. Well clean your mess up, because unfortunately there's nothing too thrilling or revealing about the first images from INTERSTELLAR. It's not like Christopher Nolan was going to allow people to take pictures of things that may spoil the film, but with how secretive Nolan and company have been with the film I was hoping there would be a little more when I found these pictures. Not that I was expecting to see pictures of wormholes, but still.
It is just the first set pictures released though, and we should be happy with that at least. These images come from Nolan Fan Forum, and there are shots of star Matthew McConaughey walking around and looking towards the sky (hmmm…) as well as some of the director with his travel mug. Hey, I told you these pictures don't reveal much. There's also a video of a scene being shot for the film at the same location as the images, courtesy of Shutter Finger.
Synopsis:
Directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan ("Inception," "The Dark Knight" Trilogy), the production will travel the globe and utilize a mixture of 35mm anamorphic and IMAX film photography to bring to the screen a script based on the combination of an original idea by Nolan and an existing script by Jonathan Nolan, originally developed for Paramount Pictures and producer Lynda Obst. The new script chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
INTERSTELLAR starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Topher Grace and Michael Caine is scheduled to hit theaters November 7th, 2014.
