Carl Ellsworth is a screenwriter I think we all know, if only for his films such as Wes Craven's RED EYE, DISTURBIA, and the 2009 remake of Craven's THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT. Well, the man is back and this time his new film is called UNHINGED. It's directed by Derrick Borte and stars Russell Crowe, Caren Pistorius (CARGO), Gabriel Bateman (LIGHTS OUT, CHILD'S PLAY) and Jimmi Simpson (WESTWORLD).
And today we have your first look at the psychological thriller which takes
An ordinary, everyday incident to its most terrifying conclusion in telling the story of Rachel (Pistorius), a mother who leans on her horn at the wrong time, to the wrong guy (Crowe). Road rage doesn't begin to describe what he is about to do to her and everyone she knows.
Director Derrick Borte said:
The mark of a great film is one that both entertains and sparks conversation. I believe, in a very terrifying way, Unhinged does that.
Lisa Ellzey (WARRIOR, KINGDOM OF HEAVEN) produces the film. Production on the film wraps on Sunday in New Orleans. Solstice Studios is targeting a wide U.S. theatrical release in the third quarter of 2020.
