Shudder's reboot of Stephen King and George A. Romero's CREEPSHOW is currently filming and today we have your first look via executive producer Greg Nicotero (THE WALKING DEAD). Nicotero is directing an adaptation of King's "Survivor Type" but that's not what the first look image is. This first image is of none other than the new Creeper himself, as always lurking outside some poor kid's window. Maybe Joe Hill will play the father this time around… that'd be a hoot. Anyhow, you can check out the first look image below.
Last week, Shudder officially announced the titles of a handful of the stories that will be featured, along with their writers and the names of some of the directors who will be working on episodes. Here's that list again:
“Silvery Waters of Lake Champlain” by Joe Hill
“House of the Head” by Josh Malerman
“The Companion” by Joe R. Lansdale
“The Man in the Suitcase” by Christopher Buehlman
“All Hallows Eve” by Bruce Jones
“Night of the Paw” by John Esposito
“Bad Wolf Down” by Rob Schrab
On top of Nicotero, other directors include Rob Schrab, Roxanne Benjamin (XX), David Bruckner (THE RITUAL), and John Harrison (TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE: THE MOVIE), who will be directing a story he co-wrote with Nicotero. Each episode will feature more than one story, and the first season consists of six episodes. It's produced by the Cartel, Monster Agency Productions, Taurus Entertainment, and Striker Entertainment. Stan Spry, Jeff Holland, Eric Woods, Nicotero, Brian Witten, Robert Dudelson, James Dudelson, Jordan Kizwani and Russell Binder are the executive producers. Marc Mostman is co-executive producer. Nicotero's KNB will be handling the creature and make-up effects.
