Let it be known right off the bat that we had a discussion about whether or not we should cover Netflix's reboot of LOST IN SPACE here on AITH. We came to the simple conclusion that went a little something like, "Meh, F*ck it. If it's a slow news day, sure." Well, guess what guys? It's a slow news day here at AITH and so we are going to go ahead and share your first look at Netflix's upcoming reboot of LOST IN SPACE.
Below you will find not only the series' official teaser trailer but also a handful of stills – which feature merely brief glimpses of Parker Posey as Dr. Smith – and there is ZERO of the "Danger Will Robinson" Robot on display. Weak. We're going to have to start calling this the "VENOM Effect" soon if trailers keep this shite up.
You can check out the quick teaser below and let us know if you plan to watch the series once it hits this April on Netflix in the comments below or on social media!
Synopsis:
Lost in Space is a Netflix Original dramatic and modern reimagining of the classic 1960’s science fiction series. Set 30 years in the future, colonization in space is now a reality, and the Robinson family is among those tested and selected to make a new life for themselves in a better world. But when the new colonists find themselves abruptly torn off course en route to their new home they must forge new alliances and work together to survive in a dangerous alien environment, light-years from their original destination. Stranded along with the Robinsons are two outsiders who find themselves thrown together by circumstance and a mutual knack for deception. The unsettlingly charismatic Dr. Smith (Parker Posey) is a master manipulator with an inscrutable end game. And the roguish, but inadvertently charming Don West (Ignacio Serricchio) is a highly-skilled, blue-collar contractor, who had no intention of joining the colony, let alone crash landing on a lost planet.
The series stars Mina Sundwall as Penny Robinson, Max Jenkins as Will Robinson, Molly Parker as Maureen Robinson, Taylor Russell as Judy Robinson, Toby Stephens as John Robinson, and in a delightfully inspired bit of casting Parker Posey as Dr. Smith.
LOST IN SPACE debuts April 13.
