First Look: Lauren Ashley Carter in killer clown flick Gags

If it wasn't somehow obvious at this point, I am a huge horror fan.

One thing I love in particular about the genre as of late is the inclusion of neo-scream queen Lauren Ashley Carter in seemingly every other flick. Not complaining. Just saying the actress has been in a bunch of flicks the last few years including DARLING, JUG FACE, THE MIND'S EYE, POD, and THE WOMAN. Again, not complaining. Only wishing she was in more actually.

Anyhow as much as love seeing Carter in my horror movies, one of the things I don't like is clowns. Hate them. Yeah, I'm one of those guys. That said two – now three – of the films I'm most looking forward to checking out in the future, STEPHEN KING'S IT, BEHIND THE SIGHTINGS, and now GAGS, all include kill clowns. Go figure.

Anyhow, today we have our first look at Carter from GAGS. Check out the tweet below:

Looks like Carter will be playing a news broadcaster (duh.) but I'm wondering just how much of the film she will be in. Is her role merely one that will be seen on a TV screen at some point, or is she the leading lady? Guess I'll have to research a bit further. I'll let you know if I find out more info.

GAGS synopsis:

In what has become a common headline across the globe, a mysterious individual has been dressing up like a clown and roaming the streets at night, capturing the attention of an entire city. Many write it off as a harmless prank but others aren't so sure. That is, until one night when four different people cross paths with the clown everyone calls Gags and his true intentions are finally revealed.

GAGS will be released in early 2018.
