GET OUT and US writer-director Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams's new horror series LOVECRAFT COUNTRY will be hitting HBO sometime in the near future. And today we have your first look at the show via a montage video HBO just slapped up over on YouTube.
Sure the quick glimpses of the series are fleeting as all hell, but the video also contains some (again, quick as sh*t) footage from Jason Bateman's upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's THE OUTSIDER starring Ben Mendelsohn (ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY) tossed in there as well.
Check it out below!
This show is based on a novel by Matt Ruff, which begins when
Atticus Black joins up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. Thus begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.
It stars Jonathan Majors, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Courtney B. Vance along with Aunjanue Ellis, Wunmi Mosaku, Jamie Harris, Michael Kenneth Williams, Erica Tazel, Jamie Chung, Jamie Neumann, Mac Brandt, Abbey Lee, Jordan Patrick Smith, and Tony Goldwyn. Monkeypaw Productions, Bad Robot, and Warner Bros. Television are behind the series which Peele is executive producing along with showrunner Misha Green, Ben Stephenson, Bill Carraro, Yann Demange, Daniel Sackheim, and J.J. Abrams. There's no word on exactly when the show will be premiering on HBO.
