Producer Sam Raimi & director Alexandre Aja's upcoming killer alligator motion picture CRAWL is all set to flood a theater near you this July. And to promote the upcoming movie's trailer, the powers that be behind the scenes have shared two new first look stills from the film, which you can see above and below. The studio showed off some footage from the upcoming fright flick at this year's CinemCon, and our parent site JoBlo.com took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the new footage writing:
Just got a look at the trailer for Crawl from director Alexandra Aja and starring Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper. In the vein of 47 Meters Down meets Jaws with alligators and hurricanes. How much more high-concept can you get, eh?
47 METERS DOWN meets JAWS but with alligators and a hurricane? Sounds like the most fun in the whole world. Hopefully, this means we will be seeing the trailer for ourselves sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed. We'll pass it along once it hits. Until then, here's the synopsis:
a young woman who, while struggling to save her father during a Category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped inside a flooding house and fighting for her life against Florida's most savage and feared predators.
Directed by Alexandre Aja from a screenplay written by Shawn Rasmussen and Michael Rasmussen, CRAWL stars Kaya Scodelario (THE MAZE RUNNER) and Barry Pepper (SAVING PRIVATE RYAN). Sam Raimi produces the flick along with Craig Flores (300, 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE).
Paramount Pictures originally announced that the "nature run amok" horror film would be – pardon the pun – crawling into a theater near you on August 23rd of this year… but since then the powers that be behind the scenes have moved the movie forward a month to July 12, 2019.
