Director Chris McKay's alien invasion flick THE TOMORROW WAR starring Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, and J. K. Simmons began filming back on September 1st in Atlanta and Iceland. And today we have your first look at the film via Pratt over on Instagram.
Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of the title THE TOMORROW WAR. Especially since Pratt (jokingly?) pitched several other titles in his post (which you can check out below). Some of the titles I would have chosen over THE TOMORROW WAR would have been Alien Dawn, Rapture Dawn, Apocalypse Dawn, Destiny war, and Saving Tomorrow. But maybe that's just me…
You can go ahead and check out his post below and then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think would have been a better title for this flick! Meanwhile, the film's synopsis goes a little something like this:
The fate of a futuristic war rests upon one man's abilities to confront the ghosts of his past. Humanity is losing to an alien invasion, so to fight back, scientists develop a way to draft soldiers from the past to fight the war.
Directed by Chris McKay from a screenplay written by Zach Dean and Bill Dubuque THE TOMORROW WAR is produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, David S. Goyer, Adam Kolbrenner, and Jules Daly. It stars Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, J. K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, and Sam Richardson. Pratt is executive producing the film in his debut as a producer. Paramount Pictures will unleash it … SOMETIME.
