If you could search for films based on “first world problems” I’m pretty sure you’d find Wes Anderson‘s complete filmography listed. I’m not complaining but you kind of know what to expect when you sit down for a new Anderson film: father-son issues, great music, and comedy so dry you’ll develop a chapped ass from laughing.
Wes Anderson‘s latest film THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL is in its last month of filming in Germany and The Film Stage has a first look at some of the cast. There’s also some shots of the titular hotel. If you’ve watched Wes Anderson movies before you know how much detail he likes to put into his settings and once again it shows. As a bonus there’s a video of Willem Dafoe being filmed on a motorcycle for a scene in the movie, as well as some other production videos.
THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL has a great mix of previous Wes Anderson collaborators and new actors joining the fold such as Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Saoirse Ronan, Mathieu Amalric, Ralph Fiennes, Jude Law, Adrien Brody, Edward Norton, Jason Schwartzman, Bob Balaban, Willem Dafoe, Tilda Swinton, Owen Wilson, F. Murray Abraham, and Harvey Keitel.
THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL is set in 1920’s Europe and is about
The troubles and tribulations of Mr. Gustave, who serves as the hotel’s perfectly composed concierge.
Take a look at the images and video below. THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL should hit theaters sometime in 2014.
