So what’s our verdict on sci-fi/thriller filmmaker Vincenzo Natali? Stunning visual artist? Surreal perv? Whatever your hype( or beef) with the man we all know that his films can develop a cult. One of my all time favorites was THE CUBE, the sci-fi puzzler turned horror. Great mind f*cks added with a hint of Giger atmosphere and you’ve got a hell of a movie. A couple of unknown features later (CYPHER, NOTHING) and we’re presented with a flick that knew no boundaries: SPLICE. While reception was mixed for that flick (I’m not a raving fan) Natali received tons of acclaim for direction. Once he partnered up with Del Toro, the man was a rocket to anywhere he wanted to go.
I just didn’t think he wanted to go here.

Dread Central drops a few words (and an image) about Natali’s next thrilling endeavor called 388 ARLETTA AVENUE. Someone’s address? An early capture of what appears to be some sales art shows a whole lotta WTF? Hard to explain in words and even harder to undestand once you’ve seen it, the early sales out does hint at the direction Natali’s heading towards.
However, he’s not really acting as director for the flick. Natali will be taking a few steps back and will take his turn on producing 388 ARLETTA AVENUE. No further details have been released…which means no info on any of the cast or crew. Based on what you’ll see from the sales art (down below) it only uses Natali’s status. So what do we see here anyway? A security camera? A home? Some chick’s shadow? Make of it what you will this art is intriguing and pretty sweet to look at. Click on the image to get a larger view. No synopsis. No Director. Just Natali and this art. Strike down below and let us know what you think folks.
