First look at the demonic Baal from Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2

Ash vs. Evil Dead is about to face one of its biggest demons yet. Baal, played by Joel Tobeck (Sons of Anarchy) will wreak havoc in the second season of the popular horror-comedy series: "When Baal is released from the underworld, our team will face an enemy more powerful then then any that have come before. One with bigger plans than just destroying Ash (Bruce Campbell) as well as a secret link to Ruby (Lucy Lawless)."

Will Baal be the evil force that provides the show the promised  "worst onscreen death in the history of all visual arts?" Only time will tell. But for right now you can check out the first look at the demon below!

Here's the short synopsis for Season 2:

The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.

Ash vs. Evil Dead also stars Dana DeLorenzo, Michelle Hurd, and Ray Santiago. There will also be a guest appearance by original film star Ellen Sandweiss, returning as Ash's sister Cheryl.

Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 will premiere on Starz on Sunday, October 2nd at 8:00 PM.
