It was only last month that news dropped that Henry Cavill would be taking on the role of Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s THE WITCHER adaptation, and already we have the first look at the actor in the role. Decked out in some sweet, sword-fighting garb and rocking that long, white hair, Cavill is suited up and ready to go in this adaptation of the popular fantasy series.

So, what do you all think? It's hard to get a grasp on the look at the character based solely on this video, but he doesn't look half bad in the getup. The character as seen in the video games looks a bit more rough-and-tumble, sporting some more facial hair and an intense look. Perhaps when we get a more detailed look and some proper footage that persona will come through more clearly. Of course, I'm here for all of it, and I can honestly say I've seen few men rock a long, white wig quite like Cavill.
Here’s the series’ synopsis:
Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
THE WITCHER is likely to hit Netflix in 2019.
