The unlikely tandem of Keanu Reeves and Eli Roth have teamed up for what sounds like a hell of a home invasion thriller that sees two beautiful young girls walk into a married man’s life and turn a wild fantasy into his worst nightmare. With its World Premiere heading to the Sundance Film Festival in January, KNOCK KNOCK has released its first set of stills, giving us our first look at a knife-weilding Keanu Reeves and his two tormentors—two gorgeous tormentors, I might add. Hopefully they don't kill his dog because we all know what happens when you kill Keanu Reeves' dog. It's not pretty.
While it's easy to assume this is going to be a horror flick, KNOCK KNOCK will apparently lean more on the thriller side of the genre as Roth recently said, "I had a window before I promote Green Inferno, and I wanted to make a movie like Roman Polanski or Paul Verhoeven made when they were young, a classic psychosexual thriller that’s not a horror movie, but would have everyone on the edge of their seats." It's nice to see Roth back behind the camera and trying something a little different, especially with a guy like Reeves taking the leading role. Should be fun and plenty bloody. I'm so in.
Rounding out the cast is Lorenza Izzo, Ana De Armas, Aaron Burns, Ignacia Allamand, and Colleen Camp. More on KNOCK KNOCK as we get it!
