First look at Anne Hathaway as a sort of a Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises

This is Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman, straddled on the Batpod in Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

Back in June, there was a report that Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman would likely look something like Darwyn Cooke’s version of the character seen during Ed Brubaker’s comic book run. That’s evidently not true. But from that same report came a description of the costume from someone inside the film’s production. They described it like so:

“Anne’s outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies. She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it’s going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costumes. She’s going to look more like a robber.”

As it turns out, that’s actually pretty accurate.

And though I tend to pride myself on being the kind of guy who doesn’t nitpick shit like comic book movie costumes, I can’t help but be kinda bothered by the lack of cat ears. Am I alone here?
