ALL HALLOWS' EVE and TERRIFIER filmmaker Damien Leone is hard at work on TERRIFIER 2 featuring Lauren LaVera is the film's lead and David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown. And today we have your first look at Howard Thornton's return as Art the Clown via Leone over on Instagram.
Check out his post below!
Leone ran an incredibly successful fundraising campaign for this sequel which aimed to raise $50,000, but ended up snagging over $215,000! Leone has said since that TERRIFIER 2 will feature an epic scene of mass casualties and destruction that will be like "if Art the Clown was in charge of the prom mayhem in Carrie… meets David Lynch… meets Maniac…"
When Art returns, he'll go up against some genre favorites such as Felissa Rose (SLEEPAWAY CAMP), Jason Lively (NIGHT OF THE CREEPS), and Tamara Glynn (HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS). The sequel kicks off after Art is resurrected by a sinister entity and
returns to Miles County where he must hunt down and destroy a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. As the body count rises, the siblings fight to stay alive while uncovering the true nature of Art's evil intent.
Meanwhile, the original film centered on:
A maniacal clown who terrorizes three young women and anyone else in his way on Halloween night.
Damien Leone wrote and directed the first film and also produced along with Phil Falcone and George Steuber. It starred Jenna Kanell and Catherine Corcoran along with David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown. Dread Central Presents released the movie back on March 15, 2018. If you don't already own the original film, you can go ahead and snag a copy over on Amazon RIGHT HERE.
