Writer-director John Krasinski's A QUIET PLACE PART II recently wrapped filming with Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Cillian Murphy, and Djimon Hounsou. And today we have your first look at the sequel via an all-new still. Check it out up top!
The original film was based on a screenplay written by Krasinski along with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck and is:
A taut and original thriller that follows a family who must navigate their lives in silence to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and Lee (John Krasinski) are determined to find a way to protect their children at all costs while they desperately search for a way to fight back. The film earned a 95% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes and generated an extraordinary $175M+ at the domestic box office.
The sequel is once again directed by Krasinski and produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller. Blunt returns as Evelyn Abbott along with Simmonds as Regan Abbott and Jupe as Marcus Abbott. Murphy and Hounsou have been cast in undisclosed roles.
Paramount just moved the much-anticipated Platinum Dunes sequel from its previously announced May 15, 2020 release date up to March 20, 2020. Five extra days of waiting. Not too bad. It could be worse. That said, the original flick is now available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD. If for some reason you don't already own it, you can go ahead and pick up a copy on Blu-ray HERE.
