There’s still about another week to go until BLADE RUNNER 2049, and with it being one of the most anticipated sequels ever, it’s probably going to be the longest week ever. There’s been some doubt regarding whether or not director Denis Villeneuve can live up to the standards of the original BLADE RUNNER, but now those fears can be put to bed for good. Some journalists were lucky enough to catch the movie before all of us, and though the review embargo doesn’t lift until next week they have been able to share their thoughts on the Twitters.
In short, the movie is amazing, breathtaking, awe-inspiring, ingenious and a masterpiece of sci-fi filmmaking. The journalists are praising everything about the movie, including the cast (yes, even Jared Leto) and cinematographer Roger Deakins, who a few are claiming it’s finally time he won his Academy Award (he has been nominated 13 times without a win). Check out some of the reactions below and stay tuned for our review in the coming days. Days, people. Days!

Denis Villeneuve is unquestionably one of the elite working directors & there's no excuse if Deakins doesn't win the Oscar #BladeRunner2049
