Last Updated on August 2, 2021

So it looks like Blumhouse's upcoming re-adaptation of Stephen King's classic sci-fi horror-thriller Firestarter has found it's new firestarting little girl Charlie, to be portrayed by 11-year-old actress Ryan Kiera Armstrong! You can see an official still of her in character at the bottom of the article! The role was previously played by a young Drew Barrymore in the 1984 film.

And here's the official synopsis:

A young girl develops pyrokinetic abilities and is abducted by a secret government agency that wants to harness her powerful gift as a weapon.

Meanwhile, Firestarter – directed by Keith Thomas (The Vigil) and also starring Zac Efron and Michael Greyeyes – has no official release date as of yet, but we'll keep you updated!

So what do you guys think? Fans of the original novel or film? If so, looking forward to the new one? Either way, sound off below!
