Finn Wolfhard experiences strange things in trailer for The Turning

Just when you thought kids couldn't get any creepier, DreamWorks Pictures has unleashed a trailer for THE TURNING, a twisted tale of terror that takes us to a mysterious estate in the Maine countryside, where newly appointed nanny Kate (Mackenzie Davis) is charged with the care of two disturbed orphans, Flora (Brooklyn Prince) and Miles (Finn Wolfhard). Quickly though, she discovers that both the children and the house are harboring dark secrets and things may not be as they appear.

Inspired by Henry James’ influential novel, The Turn of the Screw, the haunted house thriller is directed by Floria Sigismondi (THE RUNAWAYS, Hulu's THE HANDMAID'S TALE) from a screenplay penned by Chad Hayes and Carey W. Hayes. Leading the cast are Mackenzie Davis (TERMINATOR: DARK FATE, THE MARTIAN), Finn Wolfhard (IT, STRANGER THINGS), newcomer Brooklyn Prince (BROOKLYN PROJECT) and Joely Richardson (RED SPARROW, THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO).

Oh horror movies, why do you always have to be so cruel to unsuspecting nannies? Though honestly, who accepts a job caring for creepy kids in an obviously haunted manor? It's almost like they're welcoming the haunting with open arms. I suppose times are tough all over but woof, what a price to pay, amiright?

THE TURNING is set to creep into theaters on January 24, 2020, just in time to send an icy chill down your spine for the Winter season.
