Tony Todd is a busy man, as you can see from the fact that he has 220 credits on his filmography. A horror movie he's in called CANDY CORN was released two weeks ago (you can see it HERE), and just one week after filming wrapped on the new CANDYMAN film – which we know Todd was involved with in some capacity, possibly back in the role of the title character – we've caught word that filming has wrapped this week on another Todd project.
This other movie is a horror comedy called THE REENACTMENT, which was shot in and around the Nashville area. Directed by Andrew Ford, who also wrote the script with Eli Osman, THE REENACTMENT tells the story of
a film crew working on an Unsolved Mysteries-type-show in the mid-90s who get more than they bargained for when they arrive to film at an abandoned house only to find out it may not be abandoned after all.
Todd's co-stars include Megan Duffy, wrestling champion James Storm, Stephen Wesley Green, Kaitlyn Bausch, Madison Boyd, Nick Fair, and Taylor Quinn.
Ford produced the film with Steve Longi of Longitude Entertainment and Whitney Wolanin of TopNotch® Entertainment Corp.
The presence of Todd in the cast and the mid-90s setting has me interested in THE REENACTMENT. We'll be keeping an eye on this project as it moves through post-production and toward release.
