Filming wraps for Tom Cruise & Edward Zwick’s Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

There still might be some second-unit scenes left to film, but it seems principal photography has wrapped for JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, based on these recent celebratory tweets by producer Don Granger and star Danika Yarosh. Production on the sequel kicked off in October of last year, with Tom Cruise's THE LAST SAMURAI director Edward Zwick taking over for Christopher McQuarrie, and a cast that also includes Cobie Smulders (AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON), Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Patrick Heusinger (Royal Pains) and Aldis Hodge (STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON).

The follow-up, which is based on the eighteenth book in author Lee Child's Jack Reacher series, will see Cruise's Reacher heading "back to his old military base in Virginia to take a woman to dinner who is now the commanding officer. By the time he gets there, she has been arrested, and Reacher finds himself being accused of a sixteen-year old homicide."

To be honest, the trailers for the first movie didn't do much for me, however I ended up really liking it, and I'm definitely ready for more Jack Reacher action.

JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK has been scheduled to open on October 21, 2016.
