When the first season of THE BOYS premiered on Amazon Prime earlier this year, fans of the superhero genre flocked to the ultra-violent take on heroism for something different, and perhaps a bit sinister to boot. As viewership numbers continued to rise, I have no doubt that Amazon were patting themselves on the back for having ordered a second season before the first had even taken flight. And now, with filming for the show's sophomore season well underway, fans of the crude capes and cowls drama are eager to catch a glimpse of anything related to the upcoming events.
Thankfully, a new batch of behind-the-scenes photos have arrived courtesy of the Toronto Filming Twitter account. The latest photos from the set give us our first look at The Seven's brand new member, as well as a memorial for the late Soldier Boy.
In the first photo, we get a look at The Seven's newest member, a woman sporting a black and red suit as well as a no nonsense look on her stony face. It's to be understood that The Seven had incurred much damage to their "brand" during the events of the first season, having lost Translucent, The Deep, and even A-Train – though perhaps the second season will reveal that he's still a part of the mix? There's also Starlight to consider, who at the close of the first season was seen helping Hughie and the rest of The Boys get one over on The Seven.
What strikes me as odd about the above photos is the emphasis on Soldier Boy's memorial. To my knowledge, his character wasn't featured in the first season, so could it be that the events of his death will be a focal point of the upcoming season? Perhaps there's more than meets the eye to how Solider Boy "went to ground," and that can of worms is poised to be popped for Season 2? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

The Boys are Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon), and The Female (Karen Fukuhara). Simon Pegg (SHUAN OF THE DEAD) guest stars as Hughie’s father.
The superpowered of The Seven are led by Homelander (Antony Starr) who is joined by Starlight (Erin Moriarty), Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), The Deep (Chace Crawford) and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell).
