Although I've been a dedicated viewer of AMC's The Walking Dead since the series began, I haven't ventured too far into its companion series Fear the Walking Dead yet. I watched the premiere episode and liked it just fine, but haven't gotten around to watching the remaining five episodes of its first season yet. The fact that I haven't really seen many Walking Dead fans speak enthusiastically about this series doesn't help speed me up. Still, I do intend to give Fear the Walking Dead a full viewing, and I have a few months to catch up on it before the second season begins.
Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead will run fifteen episodes, more than twice as long as its debut season, and AMC has announced that the season premiere will air on Sunday, April 10, at 9pm EST.
“Fear the Walking Dead” is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in Los Angeles, a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark and English teacher Travis Manawa have managed to assemble.
Like the seasons of The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead season 2 will be split in half. The seventh episode will serve as the midseason finale, with the remaining eight episodes reaching airwaves "later in 2016". Each episode will also be followed by an episode of The Talking Dead.
What did you think of Fear the Walking Dead season 1? Will you be tuning in for season 2?
