When The Walking Dead debuted a decade ago, I certainly didn't envision that the series would go on to spawn an entire franchise with multiple shows. Although the flagship series will be coming to an end with its eleventh season, the companion series will continue as AMC has announced that they have officially renewed Fear the Walking Dead for a seventh season.

Fear the Walking Dead is currently in the midst of its sixth season, and as I haven't watched the series for a number of years, I couldn't even begin to tell you what the heck is going on currently. In addition to Fear the Walking Dead, the flagship series will be back with six additional episodes starting on February 28, 2021, before launching into an expanded eleventh and final season of 24 episodes. There's also a spin-off series that will focus on Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride), as well as a trilogy of Rick Grimes movies that will see the return of Andrew Lincoln. The first season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond recently concluded, with a second and final season on the way, and there's also an anthology series, Tales of the Walking Dead, in development that has been described as "an episodic anthology with individual episodes or arcs of episodes focused on new or existing characters, backstories or other stand-alone experiences." Good lord, save some zombie stories for the rest of the class.
