You should purchase some Coronas a few days before the big game because the first Fast X trailer is reportedly hitting the pavement two days before Super Bowl LVII. According to Collider, the first of what I imagine will be several trailers for Fast X will put the pedal to the metal. Sources say the Fast X trailer will clock in at over three minutes, previewing plenty of high-octane action, science-defying physics, and long-winded speeches about family. In addition to the trailer on February 10, a new TV spot for the film will air during the Super Bowl. Nothing gets you pumped for the gridiron ballet like the scent of gasoline, the hiss of nitrous oxide, and the grunting of middle-aged men.
Louis Leterrier directs Fast X from a screenplay by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau. Returning castmembers include Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty, Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, Scott Eastwood as Little Nobody, Tyrese Gibson as Roman, Sung Kang as Han, Ludacris as Tej, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Charlize Theron as Cipher, and Helen Mirren as Queenie.
Newcomers to the franchise include Jason Momoa as the “evil and androgynous” villain Dante, Alan Ritchson (Reacher), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Rita Moreno (West Side Story), Michael Rooker (Slither), and Daniela Melchoir (The Suicide Squad).
In December, Diesel shared a photo on his Instagram teasing the arrival of the Fast X trailer, saying it would swerve onto the internet in less than two months. With Collider’s new report, the mystery of when it will arrive appears to be solved.
Are you excited about the Fast X trailer screening before the Super Bowl shenanigans on February 10? What do you think the film’s new gimmick will be? The Fast family technically went to space in F9: The Fast Saga, so what’s left? A submarine race would be dull, so the question remains. I’m an unabashed fan of the Fast and Furious franchise, and I can’t wait to see what Diesel and the rest of the crew get up to in the sequel. They’ve come a long way from stealing DVD players off the backs of trucks. Let the speculation begin!
