A new TV Spot for Fast X is here to pump nitrous into Super Bowl LVII! The Fast X Super Bowl TV Spot arrives shortly after the full trailer, featuring Dominic Toretto and the rest of the Fast family divided by Jason Momoa’s villainous Dante. From what I can gather, Fast X spins out of Fast Five, with Dante being a part of the bank heist executed by Brian (Paul Walker) and Dom (Vin Diesel). Not only were Dante’s plans for the money dashed, but he was also run off the road by Toretto during the escape. Now Dante is seeking revenge and is willing to go after Toretto’s found family to get what he wants.
Louis Leterrier directs Fast X from a screenplay by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau. Returning castmembers include Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty, Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, Scott Eastwood as Little Nobody, Tyrese Gibson as Roman, Sung Kang as Han, Ludacris as Tej, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Charlize Theron as Cipher, and Helen Mirren as Queenie.
Newcomers to the franchise include Jason Momoa as the “evil and androgynous” villain Dante, Alan Ritchson (Reacher), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Rita Moreno (West Side Story), Michael Rooker (Slither), and Daniela Melchoir (The Suicide Squad).
“There’s a war brewing,” Louis Leterrier said to Empire Magazine in a recent interview. “It’s coming to an end, and it is a race to the finish. There will be some tremendous casualties.” The director also teased that “People are going to need to take sides. Alliances will need to be made. Good guys will become bad guys, bad guys will become good guys.” As far as bad guys go, we know that Charlize Theron will be pulling the strings once again as Cipher, but the newest baddie on the street is Dante (Momoa). “He’s an incredible new character,” Louis Leterrier said. “It’s 1,000 per cent Momoa… [Cipher and Dante] are bad news, but one is more afraid than the other. One is worse news than the other. “
The Fast X TV Spot is a great way to whet the appetites of Fast and Furious fans looking forward to the sequel’s May 30 release. Hollywood has been riding alongside Toretto and his crew since 2001, and it won’t be long until we reach the end of the road for the core series. Buckle up, and enjoy the ride!
