Familiar elements and missing children in It remake behind the scenes images

Twenty-six years after HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH director Tommy Lee Wallace turned Stephen King's epic novel IT into a well-received mini-series, MAMA director Andy Muschietti is in production on the first installment of a new adaptation that turns the story into a two-part movie: part one centers on a group of children taking on the supernaturally evil clown Pennywise in 1989, and part two will see them battling Pennywise again as adults.

While filming, Muschietti certainly hasn't left his Instagram followers hanging, teasing out several images of things that will be familiar to those who know their stuff when it comes to IT. Street signs from the fictional town of Derry, Maine; a bike called Silver; the gate to 29 Neibolt Street. There also seems to be a lot of missing children in the town of Derry, and Muschietti has even revealed a Missing poster that features Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard as the character he's playing in IT, Richie Tozier.

Wolfhard, Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Grazer, and Chosen Jacobs play the

seven children known as The Losers Club who come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.

The Losers Club actors are pictured above, out of character. They're joined in the cast by Owen Teague, Nicholas Hamilton, Javier Botet, and Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise.

IT part one is set to reach theatres on September 8, 2017.

The images Muschietti has shared can be seen below, along with a video shot at filming locations that gives a look at more missing children posters.
