Who's ready for some big-budget action and intense couple's therapy? You are? Well, then you might be interested in reading the first reactions to Marvel Studios' second live-action TV series, The Falcon and the Winter Solider.
Just like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Solider takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, and revolves around Marvel's odd couple, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), as they join forces against Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl). Also set to appear in the six-episode series is Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) and John F. Walker (Wyatt Russell).
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland; Malcolm Spellman is the head writer.
Let's see what fans are saying about Marvel's latest live-action superhero spectacle, shall we?
Unsurprisingly, it sounds as if Marvel has another major hit on their hands with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It pleases me to hear that the show offers more than the "oil and water" chemistry of its two leads and that the story carries a fair amount of emotional weight. It also sounds like we'll be taking a deep-dive into Bucky's past, which is bound to please some Marvel fans. I'm looking forward to seeing how the show address life after "the Blip," as well as those killer action sequences everyone keeps raving about. Let's go!
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts on Disney+ on March 19, 2019.
