The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Disney, Marvel

Last night's Super Bowl LIV event gave us our first look at Marvel Studios' upcoming slate of live-action television series destined for Disney+, including promos for THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER, WANDAVISION, and LOKI. The short but sweet teaser was enough to get many Marvel fans riled up about the shows to come, but now Disney has unleashed a new image and synopsis for THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER that's bound to wind them even tighter.

In the image, which had arrived via Sebastian Stan's personal Instagram account, we're treated to a thirsty look at both Stan (Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier) and Mackie (Sam Wilson / Falcon) striking a pose for the camera. Looking like something of a Marvel-brand Abercrombie & Fitch ad, both stars are sporting a 'come hither' stare as they make their way through a vacant hallway.

In addition to the new pic, Marvel Studios has recently updated the official synopsis for the upcoming superhero series, which hints at the dynamic duo going global as they learn to work together as a team.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities — and their patience — in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland; Malcolm Spellman is the head writer. Debuts on Disney+ this fall.

Directed by Kari Skogland, THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills and Daniel Brühl. While we've yet to receive a hard release date for the series, we do know that it will superhero-land on Disney+ this fall.
