F9 clip: Vin Diesel proves yet again that cars DO fly

You may recall a particularly memorable scene from Furious 7 in which Brian (Paul Walker) emphatically told Dom (Vin Diesel) that cars don't fly moments before the latter drove through three Abu Dhabi skyscrapers. It seems that Dom is still doing everything he can to prove that cars desperately belong in their native environment — the sky.

With F9 finally set to hit theaters later this month, Universal Pictures have released a new clip from the film which features Dom taking yet another passenger (Michelle Rodriguez) on a soaring drive through the clouds. I love how he keeps his hand on the wheel throughout. Ten and two, Dom! The first reactions to the film dropped earlier this month, and it seems that the film is pretty much exactly the car-fueled, physics-defying insanity you were expecting it would be.

The official synopsis for F9:

Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena).

F9 will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
