Created by vets Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1966, Panther has been one of the most loved characters in all of the Marvel canon. BLACK PANTHER is easily one of my most anticipated for the year, and not just because it’s a Marvel movie. Coogler has a hell of a resume at his back with FRUITVALE STATION and CREED, and how he brings his sensibilities to a massive blockbuster is going to be fascinating to see. Boseman has proven an excellent T’Challa, and telling a superhero story from such a different perspective is one of the boosts the genre needs.

BLACK PANTHER hits theaters February 16.
