Prendes and production company Dual Visions have announced that principal photography on THE DIVINE TRAGEDIES, a horror title involving a series of destructive and deadly games, is set to begin principal photography next month. Described by Prendes as "AMERICAN PSYCHO meets VIDEODROME, by way of John Carpenter", the film sounds as if it could be a real mind-bender.
Over to the right you'll see the first bit of artwork for the film and below you'll find the early synopsis, which sounds like it could throw everything from horror and suspense, a police procedural, and a David Lynch-ian vibe into the mix. THE DIVINE TRAGEDIES is being produced by Jon Kondelik & James Kondelik under their production company Dual Visions.
Check out the intriguing synopsis for THE DIVINE TRAGEDIES below:
Based loosely on the famous Leopold and Loeb murder case of 1924, it tells the tale of Charles Brubaker (played by Graham Denman, The Haunting of Whaley House) and his half-brother Thomas Lo Bianco (played by Jon Kondelik, Airplane Vs. Volcano), who concoct a deadly game to test their superior intelligence against the dimwitted masses. This game will eventually lead to murder, and when Genevieve, a beautiful single mother, enters their lives they finally find the perfect girl for their first kill. But, problems arise when they quickly discover that Detective Homer Gaul, a cop with a very special gift, is hot on their trail.
We've been told to expect some casting announcements (which may include some genre faves!) very soon so keep checking back for more on THE DIVINE TRAGEDIES.
