Last May, we heard that Charles Bronson look-alike Robert Bronzi would be starring in a horror film called Exorcist Vengeance, which was described as being in the vein of “Death Wish meets The Exorcist meets Knives Out“. Now it has been announced that Exorcist Vengeance will be receiving a DVD and digital release on February 8th, and a trailer has been released online to start building the hype. Check it out in the embed above!

Directed and produced by Scot Jeffrey and Rebecca J. Matthews, Exorcist Vengeance is said to be “a possession spooker with state-of-the-art special effects”. The story centers on

a tough priest (Bronzi), someone the Vatican calls to do their dirty work. When a prominent family is terrorized by a demonic force, the priest is called upon by Bishop Canelo to root out the evil, but soon realizes the solution to this mystery is tied to his own past. He must find the killer and stop the Devil’s hold on the family before it’s too late.

Bronzi is joined in the cast by Nicola Wright, Sarah Alexandra Marks, Simon Furness, Anna Liddell, Nicole Nabi, Ben Parsons, Elizabeth McNally, and Chrissie Wunna, with Steven Berkoff as “a Vatican representative who may or may not have ulterior motives”.

Jeff Miller helped produce and also executive produced Exorcist Vengeance with Commando director Mark L. Lester. Miller wrote the screenplay with Matthew B.C., based on a story by Miller. The film is coming to us courtesy of Uncork’d Entertainment.

As I have said before, the fact that Bronzi looks so much like Charles Bronson is enough to guarantee that I’ll be watching anything he happens to be cast in. The fact that he has done a horror movie – sort of like a “what if Charles Bronson starred in an Exorcist cash-in?” project – just guarantees that I’ll be even quicker to watch this one.
