It's hard to believe that Jake Gyllenhaal hit TIFF this year with not one, but two brilliant collaborations with director Denis Villeneuve. Before they shot PRISONERS, they teamed on a micro-budget thriller called ENEMY (read my review here), and the two obviously hit it off, as the segued right into this massively ambitious project.
As far as I'm concerned, both ENEMY and PRISONERS (read my review here) rank as some of Jake Gyllenhaal's best work, right up there with ZODIAC and DONNIE DARKO. Gyllenhaal was nice enough to make some time for JoBlo.com, where he discussed his two collaborations with Villeneuve, explained the significance of his character's tattoos, and being that he's made two movies in Montreal, we even talked a bit about poutine.
