V/H/S/2 stills, official title card and release announcement

Just hours ahead of its SXSW Midnight screening, we have two exclusive stills and a very exciting announcement regarding V/H/S/2 . Read on for the goodies!

With segments directed by Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Edúardo Sanchez, Timo Tjahjanto, Gareth Evans and Jason Eisener, V/H/S/2   goes like this:

Searching for a missing student, two private investigators break into his abandoned house and find another collection of mysterious VHS tapes. In viewing the horrific contents of each cassette, they realize there may be terrifying motives behind the student’s disappearance.

The stills below are from one of the shorts titled “Safe Haven” directed Timo Tjahjanto and Gareth Evans. It is about

a group of Documentary filmmakers trapped and terrorized by their own subject: a Cult family hell bent on the birth of their Messiah.”

You may remember that the film was picked up for distribution by Magnolia Pictures during its Sundance run, where it garnered many favorable reviews, including THIS ONE from our own Chris Bumbray. If you’ve been one of the many who have been patiently waiting for an announcement as to when the film would be released theatrically and On Demand, the wait is over!

We are extremely excited to break the news that  V/H/S/2 will be released on demand June 6th and in theaters July 12th. Hell, yeah!
