Writer-director Rob Zombie's third (and final?) chapter in his Firefly Family saga, THREE FROM HELL starring Sheri Moon Zombie, Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, and Richard Brake will be unleashed this month in a special 3-night event. And our very own Jimmy O recently sat down and chatted with Zombie, asking him if THREE FROM HELL is the last we’ll see of the Firefly clan.
Zombie replied:
I have no plans to do anything else, but I don’t know if my mind could change next year, or the year after. I mean I don’t have anything planned. So we’ll see how this goes and see how we feel. But I definitely feel that I could easily do more because I think Baby, Otis, and Foxy are a great trio together. And they could easily cause more destruction.
And while we're on the subject of all things Rob and Zombie, what's the man up to next?
Well, I have an album coming out early next year. And I’m shooting music videos. And then I have a couple of other film projects in the works, but as always I’m never sure which one is gonna happen first.
Fair enough.
Meanwhile, here's the rundown on the THREE FROM HELL three-night event via Fandango:
First there was House of 1000 Corpses. Then there was The Devil's Rejects. Now, from writer/director Rob Zombie, comes the next blood-soaked chapter in the most violent crime saga in history… 3 From Hell. This exclusive three-night event will feature the unrated version and unique special content nightly.
Night 1 – Featuring a special video introduction with Rob Zombie and a commemorative poster (limited quantities)
Night 2 – Featuring an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film
Night 3 – Featuring the ultimate double feature with 3 From Hell and The Devil’s Rejects
While we don't know much about what THREE FROM HELL is about specifically, we do know that Baby Firefly (Sheri Moon Zombie), Otis B. Driftwood (Bill Moseley), and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) will be returning along with THE DEVIL'S REJECTS co-stars Danny Trejo as Rondo and Daniel Roebuck as Morris Green. Plus new additions Clint Howard, Richard Brake, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Emilio Rivera, David Ury, Dee Wallace, Pancho Moler, Austin Stoker, Tom Papa, Dot-Marie Jones, Richard Edson, Richard Riehle, Kevin Jackson, Billy Blair, Steven Michael Quezada, Bill Oberst Jr., Sylvia Jefferies, and Sean Whalen. And let's not forget the series of "bizarre cameos" Zombie promised including Barry Bostwick and Chaz Bono.
Lionsgate and Saban Films release THREE FROM HELL in a three-night event, taking place on September 16, 17, and 18.
