Survival stories will always be interesting, because it immediately makes you empathize with the main character. As you're watching, you start thinking, "what would I do in that situation?", "would I be willing to do that?", or some people yelling, "why aren't you drinking your own pee yet!" So it's no surprise that there's a new movie about the harrowing true life story of hockey player Eric LeMarque (Josh Hartnett) getting stuck on a mountain during a snowstorm, and struggling to survive.
However, the real impressive thing about the film is that first ever feature film to be presented start-to-finish in Barco Escape’s three-screen, panoramic movie watching experience. That way you'll feel like you're freezing on the mountain with Hartnett. So, that's pretty cool I suppose.
Anyway, here's the official synopsis:
When a snowstorm strands former professional hockey player Eric LeMarque (Josh Hartnett) at the Sierra Nevada Mountains for eight days, he is forced to face his past and come to terms with his personal demons and rediscover the power of faith within him in order to survive. The screenplay was adapted from the book “Crystal Clear” by Eric Lemarque and Davin Seay.
Meanwhile, 6 BELOW: MIRACLE ON THE MOUNTAIN will climb into select Barco Escape theaters October 12th. Here's a link to get tickets: https://ready2escape.com.
