Minor Spoilers
Much has been made of whether or not the dinobots would be in Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, ever since we first reported the scoop back in May. Since that time, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has confirmed that the dinobots are in the film (as if “Age of Extinction” wasn’t a good enough indicator), which I think is a smart move for the franchise. Today, we have even more confirmation, as a trusted source has shared an image (albeit a little blurry) from a recent trade show that features a spoilerish part of the film, namely Optimus Prime’s new ride. Well, he’s already a “ride” himself, but his OTHER ride is a dinosaur, namely one that goes by Grimlock and is an autobot T-Rex.
Saddle up, autobot:
So, yeah, this isn’t Earth-shattering, but interesting nonetheless. It’s the third time I’ve heard about autobots hitching a ride on the dinobots, so I’m putting my money on seeing that transpire in the film. I know some folks may find that cheesy, but they should probably remind themselves that it’s a movie about robots that turn into vehicles (or dinosaurs!) that’s based on a line of toys from Hasbro. Relax and enjoy the Bayhem, I say. Plus, it’s dinosaurs, man. Who doesn’t love dinosaurs? Especially robotic dinosaurs!
TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, starring Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, Titus Welliver, and Bingbing Li is set to stomp into theaters on June 27, 2014.
