Exclusive Interviews with Jennifer Lawrence and The Hunger Games cast!

The games are at an end. This Friday sees the release of THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – Part 2, the final chapter of the massively successful HUNGER GAMES movie franchise. The movies have already grossed well over $2 billion worldwide and the latest figures to be the biggest one of them all. But I suspect you are well aware of their impressive achievements.

Two weeks ago, we had the incredible fortune to be invited to Berlin, Germany, for the official press junket for the Francis Lawrence-directed epic. Naturally, that was the opportunity of a lifetime, and thankfully this roster of actors did not disappoint. Without further ado, let’s find out what the cast and director of THE HUNGER GAMES have to say.

I can’t really intro this one properly, I’m afraid. All I can tell you is that when you talk to Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale) and they give you the goods, you’re eternally grateful. So here we have the trio getting silly and talking about the various “challenging” and “hard” obstacles they’ve had to overcome along the way to this point. Enjoy!

Next is Julianne Moore (President Coin) and Elizabeth Banks (Effie) speaking about leaving the movies behind, what they took with them, and who they’d cast in their roles in a hypothetical HUNGER GAMES remake. (Really dig their answers for this one.)

Here we have Sam Claflin (Finnick) and Natalie Dormer (Cressida) speaking about what being a part of THE HUNGER GAMES has meant to them, which character is the bigger badass and whether or not Natalie plans on going back to that killer haircut anytime soon.

Donald Sutherland is, naturally, a legend, and has lent immeasurable veteran gravitas to the role of President Snow, the tyrannical leader of the Capitol. Safe to say, meeting Sutherland is an intimidating prospect, but he was nothing but kind and enjoyable when he spoke of portraying Snow, the gigantic popularity of the franchise and his clear respect for Jennifer Lawrence.

Francis Lawrence has directed the lion’s share of THE HUNGER GAMES, impressively dishing out two huge movies in under four years (and, considering the two-part nature of MOCKINGJAY, you could even say it was three movies in four years); he’s been just as integral to bringing these books to the big screen as anybody. Here we speak about what the fans’ support has meant to him, his collaboration with the screenwriters and author Suzanne Collins, and the emotional filming of MOCKINGJAY’s final scenes.
