Exclusive Interviews with Cast of Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It seems that Hollywood cannot get enough of zombies. You see them on television, in horror films and now in the Paramount Pictures release, SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. In the new film, three scouts, Ben (Tye Sheridan), Carter (Logan Miller) and Augie (Joey Morgan) find that they have much larger issues than earning a badge. After an outbreak turns people into flesh eating undead, they must figure out a way to save Carter's sister as well as themselves. It is a fun, raunchy comedy that is somewhere between PORKY'S and SHAUN OF THE DEAD.

Recently, we sat down with the film's director and co-writer, Christopher Landon to talk about his latest. He discussed going from the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY franchise to something with a lot more humor. He also talked about finding the balance between the crude – and joyfully juvenile – comedy and horror. It was a real pleasure chatting with this fine gentleman.

Next up, we spoke to some of the stars of the movie. The second I walked in and found Logan Miller wearing a very large cowboy hat, I knew it would be a fun interview. Along with Miller, we spoke to Joey Morgan and the lovely Sarah Dumont. The three talked about some of their favoite horror films – although what scared Logan as a kid is truly hilarious. I can honestly say that is was an absolute blast talking zombie fun with this trio.

And finally, we sat down with the very talented David Koechner. The comedic actor is one of the best in the business, and he has one impressive resume. David talked about working in genre films and why he wanted to play a zombie – albiet, a zombie with humor. Once again, it is always terrific to talk to David. And if you'd like to see this heaping helping of flesh eating madness, check out SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE this Halloween weekend!
