Whoever would have thought about mixing Jane Austen with a zombie apocalypse? Well author Seth Grahame-Smith did with his original novel, and now PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES is a major motion picture with an impressive cast. With Lily James, Matt Smith, Bella Heathcote and Douglas Booth bringing a certian amount of class to this Burr Steers directed feature film. PPZ is a bloody good time as both a romantic comedy of social classes and a flesh eating horror thriller.
Recently we sat down with Lily James and Bella Heathcote, as well as Matt Smith and Douglas Booth, and it was about as much fun as you can have at a movie junket. They four actors talked about working with the very specific dialouge, and about which genre they prefer, Jane Austen inspired romance or zombie flicks. You may not be terribly surprised as to who likes what.
Next up we spoke to Steers about adapting the script from Grahame-Smith's work, and about how much of Jane Austen's inspiration is in the film. It was fun chatting with Steers about the film and all about zombies. If you'd like to see something fun and unique, check out PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES this weekend at a theatre near you!
