In Ned Benson‘s ambitious and moving THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ELEANOR RIGBY, James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain play a couple who struggle to maintain their once happy marriage after the death of their child. The chemistry between the duo – in both happy and somber times – is palpable and affecting, with both actors running the complete gamut of emotions as we witness the different stages of their relationship.
Thankfully, their chemistry is just as solid in real life; these are two of my favorite actors to chat with. I sat down with James and Jessica to talk about the challenges – and joys – of making the film, seeing both sides of every scene and experiencing the film for the first time.
