One film we're really stoked about is the insane-looking FRANKENSTEIN'S ARMY, a WWII-set horror flick that sees a battalion of soldiers enter the nightmarish world of a mad Nazi scientist. Over the past couple of weeks we've seen the official trailer, a handful of new stills featuring some of the monsterous creatures featured in the flick and a creepy clip come our way for the Richard Raaphorst-helmed monster-mash, and today we have a kickass EXCLUSIVE creature sketch debut for you to check out.
In the waning days of World War II, a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory. Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they discover that a mad scientist (Hellboy's Karel Roden) conducts experiments to fuse flesh and steel, creating an unstoppable army of undead soldiers. Leaderless and faced with dissention amongst their dwindling ranks, they must find the courage to face down an altogether new menace – or die trying.
Below you will find the bio and artwork for the 'Zombot' named Machete Worker, a scary looking fella who looks like he means business! You can click on the pic to see a bigger version.
Whereas most of Viktor’s zombots are constructed from one corpse, the Machete Worker is one of the doctor’s few creations stitched from the remains of countless bodies. A mixture of Nazi ferocity and Socialist ideals, the ghoul serves only two purposes – to dote obsessively after Viktor’s needs, and slash his opponents to ribbons.
From writer-director Richard Raaphorst, the much anticipated flick was written by Miguel Tejada-Flores and stars Karl Roden. Also staring is Alexander Mercury, Joshua Sasse, Luke Newberry, Andrei Zayats, Mark Stevenson, Hon Ping Tang, Cristina Catalina, Robert Gwylim, and Jan De Lukovicz. It hits select theaters and VOD on July 26.
