Back in February, we shared the news that Chad Michael Collins and Sean Patrick Flanery would be starring in HOWLERS, a movie that is described as being "BLADE meets WYATT EARP in a small town, combining elements of action, horror and camp in the tradition of John Carpenter."
Written and directed by Josh Ridgway, HOWLERS
tells the story of a mysterious monster hunter from the old west who returns from the grave to stop a bloodthirsty werewolf motorcycle gang from terrorizing a small town.
HOWLERS has been filming in Dallas, Texas, and now that production is over halfway complete we have a batch of EXCLUSIVE stills that give the first look at the movie. These images not only show Collins and Flanery in action, but also give a good look at the werewolf bikers they'll be up against.
This is a project that presses all the right buttons for me. My anticipation levels for it were already high, but now that I've seen these images I'm looking forward to it even more. I've been told that it will deliver a ton of action and blood, and that Flanery's character is "hilarious and awesome".
HOWLERS is being produced by Shawn Griffith and Freddie Poole, who also serves as the film's stunt coordinator. Heath Calhoun, James Provence, Gregg Fussell and Larry Lemaster are executive producers. Ron McPherson is the director of photography who captured the very cool images you see here. HOWLERS is expected to be released sometime in 2017. In the meantime, you can keep track of its progress on its Facebook page.
