Ah, BILLY MADISON, our first foray into big-screen Adam Sandler antics, all the way back in 1995. It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since O'Doyle rules, drunken penguin chasing, paste eating, bag of shit stomping, being cool and peeing your pants, no yelling on the bus, and THAT Veronica Vaughn graced us with their juvenile presence, but that day has arrived. Prepare to feel old. While not a cinematic masterpiece by any means, BILLY MADISON holds a special place in my heart. It's a silly, childish, and idiotic film, but I laugh my ass off every time I see it and regard it as my favorite of Sandler's films. While that may be up for debate, there's no denying that BILLY MADISON set a standard that has not always been upheld in subsequent works from the comedian-turned-actor, even if that standard was a bunch of moronic hijinks and toilet humor. So, take a trip back with us as we celebrate BILLY MADISON turning twenty.
