One of the top fright flicks we're all looking forward to checking out here at AITH as soon as possible is Lee Cronin's THE HOLE IN THE GROUND starring Seána Kerslake and James Cosmo. And if you're like us and just cannot wait for the movie to finally surface, then we've got something special for you in the form of an exclusive clip from the movie.
The clip is called "Stop Lying" and it features the movie's mommy asking her young – and possibly super evil – son a series of questions that quickly escalate until the son takes the kitchen table and… we'll let's just say the clip gets a tiny bit Marvel movie at that point… should be interesting!
Here's the spooky rundown on the flick:
Sarah and her young son Chris move to a new home in the Irish countryside, next to a forest that hides an enormous sinkhole. One night, Chris vanishes, and when he reappears he seems unharmed and unchanged. But, as his behavior grows increasingly disturbing, Sarah begins to fear that the boy who has returned may not be her son at all. The feature debut from writer-director Lee Cronin, The Hole in the Ground weaves suspense, terror, and supernatural folklore into a richly evocative story about the primal fears of motherhood.
The film is directed by Lee Cronin from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Stephen Shields. Conor Barry and John Keville produced and the film stars Seána Kerslake, James Cosmo, Simone Kirby, Steve Wall, and James Quinn Markey. THE HOLE IN THE GROUND hit DirecTV exclusively back on January 31, 2019, and will be getting the theatrical treatment via A24 on March 1, 2019. Will you be buying a ticket? Let us know below!
