Nothing disrupts the American Dream like a beautiful woman with a questionable moral compass, but sometimes it's hard to tell which beautiful woman is the real culprit; the homemaker or the homewrecker. Such is the case in HOME SWEET HELL, a Heathers-in-suburbia kind of black comedy that has carpet salesman Patrick Wilson lured to infidelity by the lovely Jordana Brewster, creating a scorn from Wilson's wife, Katherine Heigl, that goes above and beyond an understandable reaction. It all starts somewhere, though, and today we have an exclusive clip that teases one of the moments that leads to imminent disaster as Brewster hints at her true feelings to Wilson.
"I like it when you watch me."
Here's the synopsis:
Don Champagne seems to have it all: a successful business, a perfect house, perfect kids and a perfect wife. Unfortunately, when his wife, Mona (Katherine Heigl), learns of Don's affair with a pretty new salesgirl (Jordana Brewster), this suburban slice of heaven spirals out of control. Don soon realizes that Mona will stop at nothing, including murder, to maintain their storybook life where "perception is everything".
Wilson has a habit of jumping between big-screen gigs to small indie flicks and oddball comedies and HOME SWEET HELL fits well into the small comedy fare block. He's got a knack for the genre, playing a combination of a total dick or sniveling pushover (see: BARRY MUNDAY, SPACE STATION 76, LET’S KILL WARD’S WIFE, and STRETCH) to often hilarious effect. It's always great to see Brewster onscreen for obvious reasons and Heigl can certainly shine when up to task. Playing an unexpectededly icy woman looking for revenge seems to fit that bill. So, if you're looking for a dark comedy with a solid cast, HOME SWEET HELL might be worth a visit.
HOME SWEET HELL hits limited theaters and VOD on March 13, 2015.
